| Not one of the most significant discs in the PTG label's Nighttime Lovers series, the third volume offers another middling-to-good assortment of '80s club-oriented R&B, once again heavy on selections from the first half of the decade. The picks are light on obvious hits. Among the more notable inclusions on this volume: Mercy, Mercy's dreamy U.K. hit "What Are We Gonna Do About It?" (Ensign, 1985), the Brothers Johnson's Leon Sylvers III-assisted "You Keep Me Coming Back" (A&M, 1984), Scram's cover of Roy Ayers Ubiquity's "Running Away" (City Beat, 1988), Active Force's "Give Me Your Love" (A&M, 1983), and Enchantment's Time-ly/Prince-ly "Here's Your Chance to Dance" (Columbia, 1983).
