| 前作『サマー・サン』から3年ぶり、皆が待ってたヨ・ラ・テンゴの11thオリジナル・アルバムが登場です。この変テコなタイトルは2005年にNBAのニューヨーク・ニックスの選手だったカート・トーマスが、キャプテンに向けて放った言葉から頂いているそう。ストリングスをフィーチャーした切なめのバラードから、アイラのファルセットがセクシーな美しいラテン調トラックに軽快なロック・チューン、トレードマークのキーボードが怪しく轟くエクスペリメンタルなトラックに夢見心地のインスト、さらにはガレージ・パンク・ナンバーまで、この玉手箱をひっくり返したようなヴァラエティの豊かさ！また、ここ最近の作品ではあまりなかった、アイラのギターが炸裂するオープニングと悼辞を飾る轟音ロック・チューンにもびっくり。ジョージアのヴォーカルには相変わらず和まされます。今回は恒例のカヴァーも無く、全15曲たっぷりヨラテン・ワールドが楽しめます。 |
