| Go Sailor compiles three 7" releases and two compilation tracks by Rose Melbergs post-Tiger Trap (and during-Softies) project, Go Sailor. The bands sound is pretty much as one would expect from Melberg, taking the speedy jangle of Tiger Trap and lightening its sound with a more sweet, direct feel (in line with the Softies) -- the band and Melbergs songwriting are as keen as ever, and Go Sailor does nothing but deliver on the jangling four-chord structures and indie pop hooks her fans have come to expect (which may explain the albums release on the Northern California punk label Lookout). ~ Nitsuh Abebe |
