| Kaytranada and Amine had been collaborating for years before they rented a beach house in Malibu and started working on an album together. The result, Kaytramine, is a carefree summer-party soundtrack that doesnt pretend to be anything other than what it is. Kaytranadas productions are clever and detailed, fluidly encompassing several types of feel-good music, from laid-back house to bossa nova. The loopy, Pharrell-featuring "4EVA" is the albums obvious standout, and the tropical-tinged "Sossaup" (with Amaarae) is smooth and relaxing. A dramatic, swooping string sample lends a sinister edge to "Westside." Snoop Dogg guests on "EYE," and the triumphant, lengthy "K&A" contains an impressive beat switch.
