| Released by the SuperBird label in 2011 as a two-disc package, this combines two of Chuck Mangiones least significant 80s recordings, Journey to a Rainbow (1983) and Eyes of the Veiled Temptress (1988). The earlier album is closer to the sound heard on popular crossover albums like Feels So Good and Fun and Games. It reached the Top Ten of Billboards Jazz Albums chart. While Veiled Temptress was produced and arranged by the great Thom Bell, its aimless and tiresome, recommended only for die-hard Mangione fans. ~ Andy Kellman |
