| After the success of The Dark Side of the Moon in 1973, Pink Floyds leap from concert halls to arenas and stadiums is captured in sonic amber on Live from the Los Angeles Sports Arena, April 26th, 1975. Once a highly sought?after bootleg, this Record Store Day release was captured during the band’s North American Wish You Were Here tour and newly restored and remastered by producer and musician Steven Wilson. Concluding with a performance of Dark Side in its entirety with the Meddle classic "Echoes" as an encore, the recording is notable for the inclusion of nascent versions of "Sheep" ("Raving and Drooling") and "Dogs" ("Youve Got to Be Crazy") from 1977s Animals. ~ James Christopher Monger |

| ピンク・フロイド『狂気』から『炎』への軌跡を刻む 1975年の歴史的ライヴ 『Live From the Los Angeles Sports Arena, April 26th, 1975』 ピンク・フロイドの『狂気』から『炎』への軌跡を刻む、1975年歴史的ライヴ『Live From the Los Angeles Sports Arena, April 26th, 1975』(ライヴ・フロム・ロサンゼルス・スポーツ・アリーナ 1975)。 『炎～あなたがここにいてほしい(50周年記念盤)』のBlu-rayに音声コンテンツとして収録された、1975年4月26日のロサンゼルス・スポーツ・アリーナ公演での130分を超えるフル・ライヴ・パフォーマンスが2枚組CDとして単独発売。当時まだ発売前だった『炎』『アニマルズ』に収録された曲の初期ヴァージョン(「Raving and Drooling」は後の Sheep/「You've Got to Be Crazy」は後の Dogs)や『狂気』全曲演奏を披露。有名ブートレッガーのマイク・ミラードによる録音をスティーヴン・ウィルソン(『ピンク・フロイド・アット・ポンペイ』をREMIX)によってきめ細かい修復とリマスタリングを施された、全16曲が初めて公式リリースとなった。 当時ブートレッグながらローリングストーン誌が激賞!「もしピンク・フロイドがブートレッグ・シリーズを作ることになったら、ミラードのマスター・テープを手に入れるべきだ。ライヴ・アクトとして彼らの能力がピークに達している時のショーであり、可能な限り広く聴かれるべきものだ」 (ローリング・ストーン誌 2021年)。 『狂気』から『炎』へと至る、1975年のピンク・フロイドの実像に迫る瞬間を捉えた歴史的ライヴ、フロイド史の中でも重要な一夜が現代最高峰の技術を駆使して見事に甦る。 |
