作者は日本語版の出版後3か月余り、12歳でお星さまになりましたが「世界中の人を笑顔にしたい!」という想いを受けて家族が英語版を出版しました。
This is a story spun by a girl Waka with childhood cancer、 based on her hospitalization experience with a fairy. What she wanted to convey was not the hardship of the treatment、 but the hope that one can smile brightly and positively. Through the power of imagination、 the lonely experience of treatment is transformed into a smile. "Everyone's smile gives me the magic to believe!" The magic word is "Believe and Be Brave!" She told us.
After the picture book of the original Japanese edition was published、 she passed away. She was 12 years old at the time. Her family published the English edition to fulfill Waka s wish that "I hope this picture book will make everyone in the world smile.”
